Wedding Anniversaries are great occasions to * celebrate an important couple in your lives * initiate a gathering of family and friends * document family stories by holding a "This is Your Life As a Couple" style ceremony.

|
| Finding an opportunity in our busy lives to get together with family and to record family history (and her story) information can be a real challenge. |
Whether you have a wedding anniversary coming up for yourself or your parents, make the occasion special by hiring a celebrant to design a personalised celebration service or ceremony that can create great memories for years to come. Some couples mark the importance of their relationship by having a Renewal of Vows ceremony. But many Aussie blokes don't feel at all comfortable doing that "mushy stuff" a second time round. So wedding anniversaries can be a perfect opportunity for family time together. Your celebrant may consider incorporating some of the traditional themes or symbols associated with the particular anniversary. See table at the end of this page. |
A Sample Format for Ceremony: * Welcome * Introduction * Reading * Couples Story - Part 1 How met and times before marriage, the wedding & honeymoon - Reminiscences - Reading - Music from the era - Photos etc * Couples Story - Part 2 The earlier years, adventures, challenges and achievements - Reminiscences - Reading - Music from the era - Photos etc * Couples Story - Part 3 The later years, adventures, treasured memories, wisdom gained - Reminiscences - Reading - Music from the era - Photos etc * Cutting the Cake, Toast and Presentation of Certificate * Couples Story - Part 4 Dreams fulfilled, future plans. thank yous * Closing Reading or Singing or Ritual * Quests Good Wishes * Conclusion Obviously there are many variations on the way such a ceremony may be conducted. * Talented family and friends may be willing to perform in a variety of ways. * Personalised rituals may be developed * An Appreciation Album * Family & friends wishes wishing well * DVD of photos and/or a variety of others aids may be created or used to enhance the occasion. Remember though that 90% of the effort in creating such a special occasion is in the organising and planning the ceremony, and 10% in the delivery. That's why we say: Let the celebration be your gift ! Club together to hire an independent professional celebrant as a group gift to work with you to the depth you desire. Most celebrants will offer you a variety of packages to suit your situation. |
