Recommendation: For Example - Introduction and Contents List of the latest Newsletter. Welcome to the July edition of the Grief Brief, the e-newsletter of the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement (ACGB).This month sees the commencement of our 2010 International Educator Program. Dr. Stephen Fleming and Dr. Leslie Balmer will present workshops on Individual and Family Response to Loss: Clinical Approaches to Traumatic Grief and The Private World of Bereaved Children and Adolescents respectively. These two one-day workshops will be held in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney from 26th July to 17th August 2010. These workshops will be focussed on the essential skills required to work with bereaved children and adolescents and will also explore the ways to work with those traumatically bereaved. The Call for Papers has commenced for the 2011 International Conference on Grief and Bereavement in Contemporary Society. This dynamic conference will be held in Miami in June 2011 and has an impressive list of keynote speakers and workshop presentations. We also discuss new resources for those supporting those bereaved as a result of the Victorian bushfires and in particular focus on a new support program for bereaved children. This month the Grief and Bereavement Journal Club will meet in three Melbourne locations. The theme will be on continuing and relinquishing bonds to the deceased. We outline our very popular reciprocal membership arrangement with the Association for Death Education and Counseling - the largest international bereavement organisation. We hope that you enjoy receiving this monthly update. Remember if you would rather not receive the Grief Brief you can instantly unsubscribe by clicking on the SafeUnsubscribe link at the end of this email. Alternatively if you have a colleague who might also enjoy receiving a copy you can forward them a copy by clicking here. Best wishes. Christopher Hall
