V11 Scrolls for vows

PDF Print E-mail
news_md_clrFor those couples who are nervous about the idea of having to remember what the celebrant is saying, and then trying to remember, so they can then look at their Groom or Bride, and repeat the phrase, hoping it is
correct, and then repeating the process until their vows are finished.

To me this presents some problems. It makes the individual more nervous than they need to be.They spend more than half the time looking at the Celebrant when they could be looking at their partner. It might make them "feel"that in a way, they are part "marrying" the celebrant.

I provide a scroll made from the boards supplied by the ACCN shop when you receive a delivery of certificates etc. I use two dowels cut to a suitable length, cover the dowels and boards in suitable material, place plastic knobs (from Spotlight, on the ends of the dowels, to dress them up. I also attach tassels from the ACCN shop on the dowels, near the knobs, then print out their vows in a large font, laminate the A4 sheet and attach it to the board with blue tack.

This avoids damage to your cloth covered scroll, and makes it easy to remove the laminated vows to give to the couple as a memento.

Sounds complicated, but if I can do it; believe me, so can you.
