V9 What Should a Mother do? A Posy of Wishes

PDF Print E-mail

What Should a Mother do?

You listen, you teach
You corrected my speech
Is that what a mother should do?

sloughreyYou cut my hair,
Told me what to wear
Is that what a mother should do?

You sent me to school
Watched me swim in the pool
Is that what a mother should do?

You gave me my choices
Heard all our voices

Is that what a mother should do?

You let me be free
You let me be ME
That's what a mother should do!

Now If I ever become a mother
I want to do it just like you.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

A Posy of Wishes

RuthVG
This posy of flowers that I bring you
Is filled with `wishful dreams’
Each tiny blossom saying
`Sweet joys in all your schemes’
Each colour plucked from a rainbow
Each fragrance - charmed by the winds
All tightly wrapped and enfolded
With sunshine’s golden wings.

Each flower carries a message
Each petal – inscribed with dew
Each stem – the growth of friendships
That remain, steadfast and true
May your hearts be always singing
And your world be always fair
Loving thoughts gaily surround you
As you journey everywhere
Accept this little posy – from me your special guest
I’m proud to bring you these wishes
From my heart – the very Best!
