If you hadn't receive that notice it can be found on: And for celebrants to comment on how these changes will affect them. Here are some samples:

On the 3rd of November the CCN Inc distributed a notice about the Celebrants Equality website.
"As a rural celebrant and having very few ceremonies a year it would kill my involvement if it were more than a token cost. i would more than likely give up and leave the community without a service.
Surely we are all already registered with the Attorney’s dept so why all this need for a fee and registration? They did this with teachers and to no avail except giving some pen pusher a very cushy, well paid job with no benefit to teachers or the profession."
"Having worked in the State Government, in human resources, my personal opinion is that the Government is good at the verbiage but not so good on the action to make their policies happen, in particular discrimination. I really hope that the lobbying of the Government can make a difference to the discrimination that the AGs Department is showing towards civil celebrants.
With so many registered celebrants I believe that the ability to make a living from being a celebrant is only available to a few, so we have to be realistic and look at being a celebrant as a `pleasant past time’ and watch our expenses so we can at least break even. Initially my day job supported my becoming a celebrant and after 3 years as a registered celebrant, I have still not recovered my cost to set up as a `professional celebrant’.
I am not opposed to paying a nominal fee, but all celebrants, whether civil or religious, should have to pay the same fee to maintain fairness and equality – the Australian Way – as we like to think.'
Wow, just graduated last week and am so looking forward to practising as a Marriage celebrant. Giving up one 30 year committed career as a Registered Nurse, and today after I applied for Registration to the Attorney General’s Dept, stumbled across your profound plea. So impressed with your profound observations on the industry of which I am now embarking on. Thank you for bringing this message to my attention and good luck with “GETTING THIS OBVIOUS CALCULATION” out there to fellow Marriage Celebrants. Keep up the hard push.
The word "calculation" in this comment, resonates with the calculations the ACCN did on the "hourly rate" for marriage celebrants.
