By Bruce Fowler Civil Marriage Celebrant Melbourne Victoria
My first wedding was for my friends.

The ceremony was held at a venue in the Macedon Ranges in Victoria with approximately one hundred and sixty guests attending. The ceremony was conducted mid afternoon – with the weather holding off until about an hour after the ceremony had been completed. I had written a ceremony for my friends at their request, and then had worked with them to refine it’s content – secretly adding some content in their respective family’s first languages (the bride’s family is Swedish, and the groom’s family is Maltese) and working through the pronunciation with the father of the bride and one of the groom’s aunties.
That was very special, and I think really appreciated by some of the older relatives there to see their heritage in such prominence through the ceremony. Based on the feedback received from the couple (biased); their parents (also biased); their friends (whom are in some cases my friends and therefore also biased); other guests (that I don’t necessarily know and are therefore only somewhat biased); the professional photographer attending on the day; and the engagement between the guests and the wedding party during the ceremony, I was very satisfied with the outcome. An event that I am certain my friends will warmly remember for the rest of their lives. Regards, Bruce Fowler CMC, MBusSys, MACS PCP Emerald Victoria
