The Association of Civil Marriage Celebrants of Victoria continues to be the premier association.
The committee recently decided to include Professional Indemnity insurance at no cost to members.
So the annual fee to be a member of this association is now only $50, and this includes Professional Indemnity Insurance, so that is a saving of $30 from previous years.
What do you get for the $50? We are pleased to say you get a great package.
- We have never had a joining fee.
- Our members can secure Public Liability insurance or Personal Accident and Sickness insurance for a very low additional cost.
- Our members get a reduced rate at quality OPD sessions run throughout Victoria in May and June, at around $130. This covers morning tea and lunch.
- ACMCV members get reduced rate to attend the annual ACMCV conference which is one day session held at Noble Park, cost is around $70 for members, and includes free ACMCV satchel etc.
- Membership also includes a free Name Badge, complete with ACMCV logo to the value of $20.
- Members receive in the post an 8 page colour printed quarterly magazine, ‘The Celebrant’, full of information and interest.
- Members have access to the ACMCV chat forum.
- Members can source advice from the committee 24 hours a day, should any problem or emergency arise there is always someone ready to help.
- Members have one free page on the ACMCV professionally designed website and they can link this page to their own website.
- The ACMCV regularly advertises in several bridal books circulated throughout Victoria, providing a link to the ACMCV website, where potential clients can search for an ACMCV celebrant in their area.
- Not only does the ACMCV hold an annual conference, but several times a year we also hold one day seminars on matters relating to Celebrancy. These are at low cost, subsidised by the association for its members.
- There is always a Christmas Cocktails evening held in December for members and their spouse/partner, and this event is free to members even though it is held in a beautiful venue, with entertainment, and good quality finger food. This event alone is worth $50 a head!
All this and more for just $50 annual membership.
The ACMCV is not just for Victorian celebrants, as we have members spread throughout Australia, all of whom enjoy these benefits.
The ACMCV is proudly a part of CoCA – the Coalition of Celebrant Associations, who are recognised as the only Peak Body of celebrant associations in Australia and therefore work closely with the Marriage Celebrants Law Section of the Attorney General’s Department to promote Celebrancy and the advancement of the profession of celebrants.
