The Funeral Celebrants Association Australia (FCAA), a not-for-profit organization, was launched in December 2007.The Association’s objectives are designed for all Australian funeral celebrants. Our monthly newsletters are topical, informative and professional. Forums are held quarterly in Sydney as well as 2 site visits/year to places such as Macquarie Park Crematorium, Life Art, Walter Carter Funeral Home. Funeral Celebrants Association Australia offers:• Regular industry news and information via a monthly e-newsletter. • Opportunities to meet and network with other funeral celebrants. • Opportunities to network with other funeral industry members including funeral directors. • Quarterly training and Ongoing Professional Development opportunities (Forums). • Use of the association logo on your website. • Website listing for all members. • Support and encouragement. • An industry voice to government and other regulatory bodies. • Tax deductibility of membership fees (subject to ATO approval). We have members Australia wide. In 2010 we moved forward as an organisation, expanding our membership and introducing some new ideas. As the Association has now been a reality for 3 years, it is settling down and we have had the opportunity to be able to address structural and organisational issues as they develop and as we become aware of them. One of our major innovations in 2010, was the introduction of the FCAA Brochure that was sent to every Funeral Director in areas where we have members. Full membership - $125 per annum Full membership is open to any Celebrant who accepts and agrees with the rules, purpose, objectives and Professional Development Program of the Association. The Professional Development which is a condition of Full Membership has been developed in such a way that the required 100 points should be manageable and feasible to achieve, wherever your location and regardless of how many services you have officiated. Enquiries welcome. For further details This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it www.funeralcelebrants.org.au
