Gift Vouchers Terms & Conditions 2012

Benefits of giving an ACCN Gift Voucher:

1.          It is the perfect idea for a combined group gift for an anniversary, birthday, commitment, naming, wedding, retirement, other
                ceremony or celebration or celebrant service  paid for by various family, friends and other group members;

2.          It is an easy way for relatives and friends to contribute to the cost of engaging an independent celebrant for a special event or
                related product or service from any one of our 600 + ACCN celebrants located throughout Australia;

3.          It gives you the option of using your credit card to engage an ACCN Celebrant member, as most independent civil celebrants
                do not have credit card facilities. 

4.          It provides a practical way for the ACCN Gift Voucher recipient to purchase from the ACCN Celebrant Shop.

Types of ACCN Gift Vouchers available:

6.          The ACCN Gift Voucher can be purchased at any value between $50.00 and $1,000.00 and is presented

                6a. in an email format for no extra fee

                6b. on a white / gold card (picture left) for an extra fee for printing, post and handling (currently $7 post and parceling fee in shop)

7.          ACCN Gift Vouchers can be purchased online from the ACCN Celebrant Shop at http://www.accn.com.au/accn-shop in any number
               of or combination of the following  denominations: $50.00, $100.00, $200.00, $500.00 to a maximum value of $ 1000.00.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Usage Conditions:

1.             The Customer* agrees and acknowledges that ACCN issues ACCN Gift Vouchers that:

                (a)             may only be used as follows:

                                  (i)             To pay for the products and / or services of a participating celebrant member of ACCN;

                                  (ii)            To purchase from the online ACCN Celebrant Shop;

                                  (iii)           By redemption which will be paid by cheque less any fees referred to in Clauses 4, 5 and / or 6.

                 (b)            are treated as cash by a participating celebrant member of ACCN;

                 (c)             cannot be replaced if lost or stolen;

2.             The Customer may contact ACCN to seek verification of the funds available on any properly purchased ACCN Gift Voucher.

3.             The Customer agrees that no refund is payable to either the recipient or the customer. The Customer also agrees prior to
                purchasing any ACCN Gift Voucher to:

                (a)             check the fees payable to the participating celebrant  member of ACCN, if known;

                (b)            determine the cost of the goods and / or services the Customer wishes to purchase from the ACCN Celebrant Shop
                                 Price List; and / or

                (c)             only purchase an ACCN Gift Voucher in the required correct denomination or amount.

Expiry of ACCN Gift Vouchers:

4.             The Customer acknowledges that ACCN Gift Vouchers expire two (2) calendar years after the date of purchase and any balance
                 remaining on the ACCN Gift Voucher  will be lost.

Charges:

5.             The Customer acknowledges that fees and charges will be payable for ACCN Gift Vouchers to cover any credit card fees, Eway to
                 bank transfer, administration,  postage and handling charges.

6.             ACCN will charge the following additional fees:
                (a)             2% of the value of the ACCN Gift Voucher if payment is made by credit card; and either

                (b)            and either

                 (i) a flat fee of $7.50 for redeeming a  single ACCN Voucher; or

                 (ii) a flat fee of $10.00 for two to five ACCN Vouchers redeemed by a specific supplier, or

                 (iii) a flat fee of $15.00 for six or more ACCN Vouchers redeemed by a specific supplier

7.             The fees will be recovered at the time the ACCN Gift Voucher is used from:

                  (a)             the participating celebrant member of ACCN; or

                  (b)            the online ACCN Celebrant Shop; or

                  (c)            deducted from the value of the ACCN Gift Voucher, if the customer or recipient wishes to have the Voucher reimbursed
                                  as a cheque.

Purchasing an ACCN Gift Voucher:

8.             The Customer may purchase ACCN Gift Vouchers in the following methods:

                 (a)             Online Purchase at the ACCN Shop by credit card (Visa or MasterCard),

                 (b)             Direct Deposit to:

                                   Australian Celebrants & Celebrations Network ACCN

                                   Westpac Bank Bowral NSW

                                   BSB: 032 716

                                    Account number: 249 510

                 (c)             Cheque / money order to:

                                  ACCN Gift Vouchers

                                  PO Box 3113 Robertson NSW 2577

                (d)            Credit card via telephone call. (The Customer may request a call back from ACCN, within 48 hours, by dialing for the cost
                                  of a local call 1300 781 444).

                (e)             Emailing a request to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with a contact phone number and details of the amount required
                                  on the ACCN Gift Voucher.

Paying via credit card:

9.             If the Customer seeks to pay by credit card the Customer acknowledges and agrees:

                (a)             That ACCN Gift Vouchers may be purchased online via the ACCN Celebrant Shop via the Shop’s secure EWAY
                                  payment gateway.

                (b)            That ACCN is unable to accept faxed or emailed credit card details in payment for ACCN Gift Vouchers.

                (c)             To obtain the credit cardholder’s written authorisation and acceptance by ticking a box on the order form
                                  in the "Payment Method" section.

               (d)             That an ACCN representative may contact the credit cardholder within 48 hours, to obtain payment details by telephone.
                                 ACCN will only accept information from the credit cardholder.

10.          ACCN will send an email confirming payment to the nominated order contact person once payment has been received. ACCN
               will not keep any credit card details  in its records.

Returning items

11.          The Customer acknowledges that any person may return

(a)            an ACCN Gift Voucher purchased from an ACCN accredited Celebrant or the ACCN Gift shop and receive a refund subject to
                 this Agreement (including fees in Clauses 4, 5 and / or 6) and any other ACCN policies which shall apply¹.

(b)            Any other products purchased via the online ACCN Celebrant Shop’s subject to the normal Terms and Conditions of ACCN
                Celebrant  Shop purchase.

Liability for products and / or services:

12.          ACCN does not accept any liability for the quantity or quality of the goods and / or services of celebrants who advertise with
                the ACCN or who are ACCN participating celebrant members of the ACCN celebrant support network.

13.          The Customer will indemnify ACCN from any claims it has against an ACCN  celebrant.

Receipting, Delivery and Gift Voucher Activation

14.          ACCN will issue a tax invoice:

(a)            after receipt of an order via email the following business day or sooner. A customer may pay for the order via EFTPOS, cheque,
                 or credit card. Paying via EFTPOS or  cheque may delay the processing time of an order as ACCN requires payment to
                activate the ACCN Gift Vouchers; and

(b)            receipt via return email where ACCN Gift Vouchers are ordered and paid for by credit card via the online ACCN Celebrant Shop.

15.          ACCN will arrange delivery of the ACCN Gift Voucher within five (5) working days after receipt of payment. Note: The ACCN will
               not be liable for delays caused by Australia Post or other such postage carriers.

16.          The Customer acknowledges that a delivery fee is payable for any ACCN Gift Voucher delivered by mail.

* Terminology

The Customer refers to the person paying for the ACCN Gift Voucher.

The Recipient refers to the person who wishes to use the ACCN Gift Voucher to purchase goods or services from the online ACCN Celebrant Shop; a celebrant member of the ACCN or to donate the value of the ACCN Gift Voucher (less fees as stated above) to a charity or non-profit group associated with the ACCN Party With A Purpose project

A participating celebrant member of the ACCN refers to a financial member of the Australian Celebrants & Celebrations Network who has agree to accept payment via ACCN Gift Vouchers (less fees outlined above)  in this ACCN Gift Voucher program

Purchasing ACCN Gift Vouchers indicates that I, the Customer have read the above Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
