Celebrations

Dear Mum

Another Mother's day to add to the long score of celebrations in your 93 years. All the family sends their love --all 9 surviving children, their spouses, the many grandchildren and now the 3 great grand kids.  We know you still grieve little Gladys lost all those years ago and sleeping peacefully with Dad in Rookwood.

But it is lovely for us to still be together as a family.

Still in touch with each other and coming to see our mum, the matriarch of our clan, still giving cheek and having a laugh with us all.

The keeper of our stories, of Patch and the pig, of Chubs, Ikey, Soota and all the many cats who slept in kids beds and had to be routed out each night.

What a life you have given us all with its sadness and great times.

Our thanks to you for the greatest gift of all--Life!

And the values you instilled in us which came from your hardships where food on the table was a great achievement.

We live in a land of milk and honey compared to those early days and life is sweet. We wish you good health, happiness and a peaceful heart.
