I  love this celebrancy work, and was drawn to it by my interest in people, and in learning about different cultures and traditions.

My previous qualifications were in education and training, and I have spent many years educating and supporting foster families as a part of my child protection experience.

After completing my marriage celebrancy training qualifications, I was appointed by the Attorney General of Australia in September, 2008. Experienced now in performing  marriages, commitments, baby namings, I'm keen to extend my skills to any event families and groups wish to celebrate!

One of my most treasured memories relevant to this work, relates to an occasion when a groom’s parents, whose home was overseas, turned up unexpectedly to the wedding…….what a wonderful surprise!

I am Welsh, and have inherited from “that mad lot” a strong sense of fun, as well as the accent! Luckily my previous work life ingrained in me professional values and reliability to temper that, but not my enthusiasm.

The best advice I can provide couples and families  is to remember that the simplest things in a ceremony are mostly the most memorable…….such as the inclusion of special people in your life…and that “imagination is more important than knowledge”…that’s not original…Albert Einstein said it!
