My name is Sheryl Massey and I reside on the southern Gold Coast, just below the Qld. border in Banora Point NSW.

Originally from Melbourne, although I was raised in Maffra, Gippsland in Victoria. My partner & I moved up to the Gold Coast 20 years ago and we just love it here, and wouldn’t live anywhere else. There are so many beautiful locations for a special ceremony, beaches, parks, gardens, resorts, the hinterland, rainforests etc.

I am the mother of two daughters and the grandmother of two granddaughters and three grandsons, they all live in south Queensland, we are a very close family.

I have worked in many areas over my working years, hairdressing, cosmetics retail & promotion, secretarial, medical administration.

I have been retired for a few years now, and I was looking for something that I could be passionate about, something that I could do on a community level and to assist in the celebration of significant events in people’s lives, was something that really excited me.
The thought of assisting couples to make their day easier and to be part of such joyous occasions, warms my heart. As their Celebrant I feel honoured to help them create a unique and individual ceremony, designed to reflect their personalities, their love and commitment to one another. I just love being a celebrant.

As I was appointed 29th October 2008, I am one of the new generation of Celebrants. Although my memories are recent, they are none the less relevant. I have been overjoyed when not only the couple but the whole family wants to give me a hug after the ceremony; it makes me feel my decision to be a celebrant was the correct choice for me.

Where I would like to be in 5 years time, is being busy with bookings from referrals from my satisfied clients. A personal referral is the best booking anyone can have, it is such a morale booster, it means I am doing the best that I can and it is appreciated.I perform ceremonies from Byron Bay, to Tweed Heads NSW, all of the Gold Coast, Beenleigh to Brisbane City Qld. and everywhere in between.
