I was a very creative person from an early age. I worked many years on newspapers, writing articles, photography and graphic arts. I taught art at TAFE. I sell my paintings. I write poetry and stories and have been published.
I was always attracted to Wedding Celebrations. I applied to be a celebrant around 1990. After a long wait I was finally deleted from ‘the list’ with many others. I looked and looked for the so called ‘training’ but to no avail. I applied once on the Gold Coast but the course was abandoned for lack of interest. In 2007 I found courses via the web and applied instantly.

| With Celebrations of Weddings, I rejoice in the relationship between the masculine and the feminine that ignites the energy that forms love. It gives me great pleasure to create the blend of words that compliment and describe a couple’s passion to be ‘one’ in their life. I love to facilitate their need to promise exactly what they want to each other.
I enjoy the happiness created by people ‘in love’ wanting to ‘give’ themselves to that special ‘other’ and create a lasting bond.
I did a wedding recently for a couple that had been together 15 years and had two children together. My special memory is of the children as together they took mummy’s hand and leaned forward as they ‘gave’ their Mummy to their Daddy to ‘love and cuddle forever’.
I looked at their smiling faces and the look of awe and love inspired me.
As I looked up into the father’s eyes the tears rolled down his face – It was at that point I lost my cool as a celebrant - my eyes welled up and filled with happy tears of the moment too!!! So special.
I would like to be recognised as a special celebrant that gives my clients their personal ceremony, this being - exactly what they want. I want to be in demand and busy with bookings due to my individuality and efficiency.
My bookings to be a variety of ceremonies not just weddings.
