My name is Tom Haig. I was first registered as a Marriage Celebrant in September last year (2008)
|
Since then have officiated at eleven weddings, two renewal of marriage vows, two baby namings and three funerals!
I have thirteen weddings between now and April 09 and given I work full time, my 'hobby' is taking off and starting to interfere with my weekend games of golf!
Seriously though, I am thoroughly enjoying being a celebrant and feel immensely privileged to be part of arguably the most important occasion in a couples lives.
My 'day job' is regional manager with TAFE in Murray Bridge in SA, I am married to Kay and have three grown up adult children. Kay and I have been together for 31years now.
I love gardening, walking my german shorthaired pointer 'Shebe', and golf. I feel very fortunate indeed to have met Rona. She has been a tremendous support to me as a relatively new celebrant and has steered me though getting an on-line presence.
I am proud to be a member of the Australian Celebrants and Celebrations Network and look forward to continuing my growth and developing as a celebrant in this exciting an growing profession'.
